Passion
is one of those amazing natural energy boosters we can tap into every
day. The trick is in discovering what we are passionate about.
Does it have to be something earth-shattering? No, of course not.
You can be passionate about anything at all.
I was at an informal birthday party recently where delicious creamy
sponge cake was served.
A few of us began talking about our preferred bakery delights. Neenish
tarts was one of the favorites. Rumored to be an Australian cake, a
Neenish tart is a small tart containing mock cream (and possibly jam)
and covered with icing of two colors. Usually the color scheme is brown
and pink, or brown and white.
A
lady called Carol said her favourite was scones, but she had tasted
some disgusting scones as well as some really scrumptious ones. Carol
told us about how she and her husband had taken a trip back to England
and had visited Devon with two friends. Of course they had to stop
at a café to enjoy the local Devonshire Tea (scones with jam
and cream). She described in detail the basket of fluffy scones, the
fresh real cream and the jam with juicy whole strawberries which was
placed on their table.
Carol’s
face lit up as she told the story and I could see she was once again
tasting the delicious flavor of those scones. Her voice was animated
and her whole body reflected the energy she felt from the wonderful
experience of eating scones. I told her she was the first ‘connoisseur
of scones’ I had ever met.
Just
goes to show - You can be energized with passion for
just about anything
What Carol was
demonstrating must not be confused with a 'food addiction'. She was
using her taste buds as one of her senses to energize her life. In
